Writing workshop #1: Character Development

Hellow every body meet July, July is a beautiful, intelligent, and healthy girl, who is finishing higschool. Well let me tell you she had a really bad experience with date rape. She knew a guy named Jim actually a really good friend of his brother that really that was 5 years older than her. He started to call her more often and visiting her when her brother was not there. One thing led to another and July fell in love with the guy. He was really sweet and kind with her and he finally asked her on a date. July knowing that hi was 22 and she 17 she accept. Well Jim tacked her to a night club and invited her drink. July is a healthy girl that has not drunk before but also she is also a person that can not say no, so she accepts. But July never notices that Jim put something in her glass. It took him just one drink to get her really drunk. After that Jim took her to a crappy motel and raped her well actually when he rapped her part of the effect of the drug was gone and she felt everything sadly she could not move because of the other effects that the drug still had on her. After raping her he just leave her there and run away sadly for July she remembered everything. After that July told her family what had happen to her but when the family tried to arrest him they did not have enough evidence and Jim flew to Mexico afraid of going to prison. Well we have here with us poor July to tell us more about it.

Hi July how are you feeling?

I am feeling better now because is all over but I will fell even better when they catch that bastard because of what he have done. Well I have been visiting a shrink for a few months now so I feel way better now, but to tell you the truth I am not ready to date yet.

Well, who can blame you. July, can you tell me how you felt that night when that horrible thing happen to you?

Well how do you think I felt? The man who I was falling in love to rape me and the worst thing of all was that I was awake all time. I felt incapable of moving at the time I could not take him off me and the only thing I could do was pray for him to stop, but he did not (July Crying).
